This is my view every morning when doing stretches after a workout.

I've been writing with pen and paper recently and had a bumper day of productivity yesterday! So close to finishing another first draft. Striving for those goals.

I remember this time ten years ago, living in a tiny cottage, my first novel under contract, and dealing with the grief of losing my mother. Putting on a brave face.

All of the books I read were ebooks for the month of May. Dominating the stack are thriller/horror and a few apocalyptic titles... and one memoir told in prose.

Despite the cold there are flowers everywhere. I especially love the purple centre of these... I kinda want to lay in a field full of them and live out a manic pixie girl fantasy. Oh, and do a bit of writing while getting a tan 😊

With chilly mornings, I've taken to having my coffee, checking emails, and writing in the enclosed balcony. Toasty warm and a great view. Plus with the increase in electricity prices, who wants to pay for having the heater on if you don't need to?

A Baillee appreciation post. He's always up for snuggles and is there cheering me on as I write.

The last 2 days I haven't been feeling very creative - but I'm still keeping busy. Have to maintain my motivation, but there's a balance to avoid burnout.

I've been reading 'Blitz' for a week now and it's great, but sheesh is it a big book with lots of flashbacks and jumping around the timeline. I'm loving it, but the pace is a little slow at the moment. Lots of new things to discover in the Checquy universe, as soon as I get past the halfway point I'm sure things will pick up.
