I can sympathise with Murderbot – sometimes I can’t function properly when I’m around other humans…
Too often we focus on the negative or criticism, we need to remind ourselves of our achievements and successes too, otherwise we’ll all be living under a dark cloud. Comment below an achievement that you are proud of:
I am confusion!
Oh how a single word labelling a person can cause so much trouble. Women tearing each other down, jealousy, feeling threatened, or plain old sexism. I’m glad to see many replacing this word with #GirlBoss.
Life would be boring without adventure, failure, and unexpected surprises.
This reminds me of every child I have ever met 😀
I like this quote it reminds we of the saying ‘like attracts like.’ It also makes me remember my mother saying that if you surround yourself with happy successful people, you will become happy and successful… I don’t know how much of it is true, but I think they all relate to finding your tribe – people who hold the same values and goals as you do. That way you can support each other in this journey through life.
Argh! I need to get to reading this book so I can watch the movie!! I have such a back-log of novels to read… Does anyone have a favorite film adaptation from the last 12 months?
A superhero story I am dying to jump into, ‘Icons’ sounds like a lot of fun! I was skimming through and this quote stood out to me and it’s parallels how some people grow a chosen family because their genetic family is no longer on the scene. I like the idea of surrounding yourself with good people, love and support. Just because you are related doesn’t mean they are good for you.
I still haven’t gotten around to reading ‘The Kiss of Deception,’ but this quote makes me want to start it real soon – negative words can crush someone’s dreams so easily… it’s not hard to say kind things instead of tearing people and ideas down.
